A future without gas boilers for a cleaner Britain. Choose Fischer

Levels of carbon dioxide in the earth’s atmosphere have been rising exponentially since the early 1950’s. The earth is suffering because of it, with a majority of the increase in the earth’s temperature coming within the last 35 years.

This has a knock on effect. The oceans are rising, glaciers are retreating, there are more extreme weather events now than ever before and the ocean is becoming more acidic – the list goes on.

Along with many other activities, carbon dioxide is released when we burn fossil fuels to power our homes and industry. Coal, oil, gas and other types of fossil fuels are all culprits.

When carbon dioxide is released in to the atmosphere, it traps heat. Sunlight and heat enter out atmosphere and are supposed to exit again. As carbon dioxide holds the heat, it prevents this from happening, causing the increase in the earth’s temperature.

When you use a gas or oil boiler to heat your home, you may be harming the planet, although you may not mean to. Not only may gas boilers be damaging our atmosphere, they can be costly to maintain, which only causes more hassle for the homeowner.

What has been happening throughout April?

In recent weeks, environmental movement “Extinction Rebellion” have been protesting in several major cities around the world.

Their aim is to use “non-violent civil disobedience to achieve radical change in order to minimise the risk of human extinction and ecological collapse.”

Through their non-violent protests, they are hoping the British Government will take notice and implement changes to help prevent climate change.

How is electric heating any different?

Around 15% of the UK’s annual electricity consumption is renewable. This means no fossil fuels are burned in its production and instead, we turn to different energy sources such as wind farms or solar panels to generate the electricity. By doing so, we lower our greenhouse gas emissions and in turn, help towards a cleaner future.

Wind and sunlight are not going to run out, at least not for millions of years, meaning this source of energy is 100% renewable and sustainable for years to come. No more greenhouse gas emissions, no more pollution, just clean energy.

Renewable electricity is certainly the future, and utilising it to power your home is one of the best (and easiest) things you can do. With a number of energy suppliers making the change to supply only 100% renewable electricity, the culture is changing for the better.

Why are Fischer heaters the ideal replacement?

Fischer radiators run solely on electricity, meaning you can heat your home without harming our environment. They also require no servicing or maintenance, allowing you to sit back and relax while you enjoy the convenience of a stress free heating solution. They can also be used in conjunction with an existing Solar PV system.

Ideal for those who want complete comfort and controllability while still helping to save our planet, they also come with a fully programmable thermostat, allowing you to set a heating program for each individual room.

How can we prove it?

Manufactured to include a patented 40mm chamotte clay core, exclusive to Fischer radiators, along with an in built convection chamber for more efficient heat distribution, they have been tested by the Energy Saving Trust, who said:

“In an Energy Saving Trust field trial of five properties, where traditional electric storage heaters were replaced with Fischer Future Heat Dynamic Electric Storage Heaters, householders reported feeling more comfortable and at the same time maintained an indoor air temperature that was an average of 0.7°C lower, suggesting that less energy may be required to maintain desired levels of comfort.”

Not only can Fischer radiators be powered with renewable electricity to help protect our environment, they also give you more controllability, comfort and peace of mind.
